The FTCS Committee is dedicated to providing events, resources, and opportunities for first time college students. Activities that are conducted by the committee include, but are not limited to:
• Quarterly events
• Bi-weekly meetings
• Advocating for first time college student needs
• Promotion of resources to first time college students
• Campus partnerships and office collaborations
• Involve first time college students within ASUCR and campus as a whole
I am looking for passionate leaders and members who are ready to hit the ground running and would like to work towards improving the experience of first time college students! The positions available are as follows:
Event Coordinator
• Be appointed by the First-Time College Student Director with approval from the First-Time College Student Committee
• Assist in event planning for events organized by the First-Time College Student Committee
• Set a goal of how many events will be held that quarter and meet the goal
• Keep a google document of all events held that quarter: budget, theme, reason as to why the event was held, this shall be in place as a future reference for incoming event coordinator
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the committee
First-Time College Student General Committee Members
• Attend all meetings of ASUCR First-Time College Student
• Attend all First-Time College Student events
• Conducts a variety of recruitment activities for first-time college students, including event volunteering and tabling
• Maintains a friendly, supportive atmosphere for students
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the committee
